The health challenges facing Greensboro's communities are not medical problems. They are systems problems. LVCM CDC's Health in the Streets initiative brings organizations, churches, nonprofits, and community groups into a shared ecosystem where trust, collaboration, and the 10 dimensions of health converge to produce real change.

On March 20, 2026, more than 250 people gathered at Rupert Bell Recreation Park in East Winston-Salem. Sixteen organizations showed up. Health screenings, trauma-informed care, food resources, early childhood education, and Medicaid navigation — all in one place, for one community, for free. This is what Church in the Streets looks like.
